Electronic Commercial Sensor Faucet
The most prominent and important feature of any bathroom is the faucet and when it comes to upgrading any bathroom, this should be the first consideration. Traditional faucets are normally found in commercial bathrooms but the relatively new technology of touchless faucets would be a better option. If the bathroom doesn't already have this type of faucet, also called electronic or sensor faucet, the faucet is the first thing that should be changed. The touchless faucet is, as the name suggests, "touchless"; you do not need to touch the faucet in order to get the water flowing. It operates using presence sensors that detect hands when brought under the sensor, and turns the water on automatically.
Sensor Faucets Types
The touchless faucets, just like the traditional faucets, are available in a range of colors and materials. Some of these are;
-
Brass and chrome coated faucets
These faucets are made up of zinc and coated with brass. While the zinc surface itself is not really corrosion-resistant, the brass coating helps reduce risk of rusting or corrosion. However, as the brass could itself erode away and expose the zinc to corrosion, it could cause hygiene problems.
Faucets made of plastic are relatively cheaper and therefore more common than the other types. The problem however, is that plastic is more likely to break and get damaged than other materials.
-
Stainless steel sensor faucets
Stainless steel is known for its resistance against corrosion and also gives a shiny appearance. So long as the steel remains unscratched, it will remain shiny and corrosion-free. Commercial bathrooms can best make use of these faucets because of their appearance and less need of repair.
-
Solid brass touchless faucets
Brass is known for its resistance to rusting and this feature makes them ideal for public bathrooms. In places where the water is considered "hard" and the risk of rusting is greater than normal, these faucets can be installed. In this way, these faucets can reduce the need of repair or replacement.
